Lake El Salto January Bass Fishing Report Update - This season has been very exciting and appears to be improving daily! The fishing has been extraordinary for the sheer numbers of fish caught and overall trip experience! Captain Mike Lackey, owner of the Vagabond, (a long range Sportfisher out of San Diego) had a group of 16 Industry friends who come down every December and May said it best, when asked what baits were the most productive, he said “whatever you want to throw was the best bait because you caught fish on almost everything in your tackle box and a lot of them”! Fishing Report from Tropic Star Lodge in Panama - Quite a few 500-600 lb marlin were released and the sailfish bite continues to be excellent.
