Lake El Salto is Located 50 miles north of the seaside resort of Mazatlan, this lake has a healthy population of trophy size bass. Bass anglers who like catching good numbers of quality bass as well as a good chance at 10 pound plus bass will enjoy this lake. Probably the most famous of all the Mexican lakes, El Salto has been producing great bass for over a decade. The aggressive bass of the lake will strike a variety of lures all year and we will advise you which baits to take on your bass fishing trip.

Mazatlan with it's fantastic beaches, is your gateway city for Lake El Salto and is serviced by airlines from all over the USA. We will arrange your transportation from Mazatlan to the lodge and lake. El Salto Lake is located a little over an hour drive from Mazatlan. We will pick you up upon your arrival at the airport or at your favorite resort in Mazatlan. The bass fishing at Lake El Salto is trophy class with many bass over 10 pounds caught every year. Many of our clients combine the El Salto bass fishing trip with their Mazatlan vacations. El Salto Lodge is owned by Billy Chapman Sr. who will see to it that your trip is great in every way! The Lodge
El Salto Lodge is located right on the lake so there are no long drives in the morning or at the end of your fishing day. Dinner at Billy Chapman's El Salto Lodge consists of everything from Rib-Eye steaks and Jumbo shrimp, to meals with a Mexican flare. Wine is always available with the evening meal. We prepare a mixture of American, Mexican, and local seafood dishes.
El Salto Lodge
The comfortable rooms are fully air-conditioned, with private bathrooms and showers. Daily maid service is also included. The lodge is fully enclosed and many rooms include a beautiful view of Lake El Salto. From the lodge it's a short walk to the boats and El Salto trophy bass! Boats are 18 1/2 to 21 foot fiberglass with 45 to 65 horsepower engines. They are plenty fast and smooth riding. They are wide with lots of foot room and are equipped with cushioned swivel seats, trolling motors and fully charged batteries. Guides are all native to the lake. Many have as much as 14 years experience. All guides are always clean, neat and courteous every day. Your guide will do his best every day from day break to dark to ensure you are on top of the biggest fish all the time. The guides speak enough English to make your day go along smoothly. Guides usually like to fish some of the time out of the back of the boat. At your option, they will not fish at all.
