Boats:
Boats are new 18 1/2 to 21 foot fiberglass with 48 horsepower
engines. They are plenty fast and smooth riding. They have lots of
foot room and are equipped with cushioned swivel seats, trolling motors and
fully charged batteries. The
season is short, Mid October End of June and
accommodations are limited so make your reservations early!
Almost
any type of lure will catch bass on El Salto.
|
|
You should be able to use
your favorite lure most of your trip and do great. Top waters are
great! However a reasonable supply of crankbaits, spinners, and worms
of almost any color will be fine. Lake El Salto has
produced many 10 pound plus trophy bass for our clients. |
|

|
The
new El Salto Resort is located right on the lake so there are no
long drives in the morning or at the end of your fishing day. The
photo of lodge boats on the left was taken from the lodge. Just a
short walk and you're in your boat, heading out to start the day's
bass fishing session. Experienced El Salto Resort guides will
improve your odds of catching trophy bass at Lake El Salto.

Guides & Boats
Guides are all native to
the lake. Many have as much as 14 years experience. All guides are always
clean, neat and courteous every day. Your guide will do his best every day
from day break to dark to ensure you are on top of the biggest fish all
the time. The guides speak enough
English to make your day go along smoothly. Guides usually like to fish
some of the time out of the back of the boat. At your option, they will
not fish at all. Boats are 18 1/2 to 21
foot fiberglass with 45 to 65 horsepower engines. They are plenty fast and
smooth riding. They have lots of foot room and are equipped with swivel
seats, trolling motors and fully charged batteries. |

Trophy Fish Policy
It is the
lodge's policy for no fish to be kept. We encourage you to take pictures,
weigh and measure your trophies, and have fiberglass replicas made. They last longer and you can't tell the difference.
We have this policy in order to conserve this great bass fishery.
