April 3 - The Julius Nagy group arrived for the 6th time to Sailfish Bay.
Julius Nagy, Kenneth Cordes, Ivan Hansen, Daniel Welch, Kent Rhude, and John
Lauer.
Fishing on Gypsy they raised 4 sailfish and released 2 conventional. They
also hooked 1 Blue marlin.
Fishing on Maverick they raised 6 sailfish and released 3 conventional.
Fishing on Cayuco they raised 4 sailfish and released 2 conventional.
April 4 - The Nagy group raised 4 sailfish on Maverick and released 2
conventional.
The Nagy group raised 4 sailfish on Gypsy and released 1 conventional.
The Nagy group raised 4 sailfish on Cayuco and released 2 conventional.
April 5 - The Nagy group raised 3 sailfish on Maverick and released 1
conventional.
The Nagy group raised 4 sailfish on Gypsy and released 1 conventional.
The Nagy group raised 5 sailfish on Cayuco and released 3 conventional.
April 6 - Fly anglers Stephan Kiratsous, Nasir Hasan, Richard Fields, Rick
Schifter, Wallace Henderson, Tony James, Jamie Boyle, Bernard Attali, David
Bonderman, Evan Carruthers, Pat Vermillon, Dan Miller, and John Megrue
arrived at SBL.
Fishing on Gypsy they raised 6 sailfish hooking 1 on fly and released 1
conventional. They also caught 3 yellowfin tuna.
Fishing on Canaso they raised 9 sailfish hooking 3 on fly and releasing 0.
They also hooked 1 Blue marlin on fly and it broke off pretty early in the
battle.
Fishing on Maverick they raised 8 sailfish hooking 2 on fly and releasing 0.
They also raised 2 Blue marlin.
Fishing on Danmark they raised 9 sailfish hooking 3 on fly and releasing 3.
Fishing on Cayuco they raised 6 sailfish and released 1 conventional.
Fishing on Strike Zone they raised 9 sailfish hooking 4 on fly with 2
releases. They also raised 1 marlin.
April 7 - The Vermillion group raised 4 sailfish on Gypsy hooking 1 on fly
and releasing 0.
Fishing on Canaso they raised 2 sailfish and released 1 on fly.
Fishing on Cayuco they raised 1 sailfish and released 1 on light tackle.
Fishing on Danmark they raised 6 sailfish hooking 3 and releasing 2 on fly.
Fishing on Strike Zone they raised 5 sailfish and released 2 on fly.
April 8 - Terrible fishing today. Boat cruises. The Vermillion group raised
0 sailfish on Maverick.
Fishing on Gypsy they raised 0 sailfish.
Fishing on Strike Zone they raised 0 sailfish.
Fishing on Danmark they raised and released 1 sailfish.
April 9 - The Vermillion group raised 7 sailfish on Gypsy and released 1 on
fly. They also raised 1 250 lb Blue marlin and landed it on fly!
Fishing on Maverick they raised 11 sailfish with 3 strikes and released 2 on
fly.
Fishing on Canaso they raised 12 sailfish with 6 strikes and releasing 5 on
fly!
April 10 - The Vermillion group raised 4 sailfish on Maverick with 1 strike
and 0 releases on fly.
Fishing on Canaso they raised 3 sailfish and released 0 on fly.
April 11 - Kevin McDermott, Mike McDonald, and Douglas Moore arrived at SBL.
Fishing on Maverick they raised 10 sailfish and released 4 conventional.
April 12 - The McDermott group raised 19 sailfish and released 8 on light
tackle.
Don Langrock arrived for his 6th trip to Sailfish Bay. Joining him were
daughter Leslie Langrock and grandson Sean Hyslop. Fishing on Gypsy they
raised 12 sailfish and released 7 conventional.
April 13 - The McDermott group raised 5 sailfish on Maverick and released 3
on light tackle.
The Langrock group raised 2 sailfish on Gypsy and released 1 conventional.
They also caught 1 300 lb. Black marlin.
April 14 - The McDermott group raised 2 sailfish on Maverick and released 1
on light tackle.
The Langrock group raised 1 sailfish on Gypsy and released 1 conventional.
April 16 - Bob Kern, Margarete Kern, John Jackson, and Chrissie Jackson
arrived at Sailfish Bay. Fishing on Maverick they raised 1 sailfish
releasing 0. They caught 2 dorado.
Fishing on Gypsy they raised and released 1 sailfish conventional.
April 17 - Fishing inshore on Maverick The Kern group released 2
Roosterfish.
The Kern group raised 2 sailfish and Gypsy and released 1 conventional.
April 18 - Fishing was very poor today. The Kern group fishing on Maverick
and Gypsy raised 0 sailfish. They caught 2 dorado and 2 yellow fin tuna.
April 19 - The Kern group raised 2 sailfish on Gypsy and released 1
conventional.
The Kern group raised 3 sailfish on Maverick and released 3 conventional.
