Jungle Fishing Silver King Lodge offers more lagoons, rivers and back waters than any other jungle area on the east coast of Costa Rica. These waters are the home for game fish of all sizes. There are river Tarpon, Calba, Mojarra, Machaca and the elusive Guapote. We are sure that there are many other fish that can entice the sportsman such as giant Sawfish and what the guides call Tiger Fish. Tiger fish have stripes, look like a large crappie but fight like a small mouth bass.

Only The Best at Silver King and Getting Better Than Ever!!! In keeping with its tradition of quality, SKL is now offering Fin-Nor spinning reels and custom Star rods to it’s clients. Fin-Nor has developed a reputation as the leader of top line spinning tackle. Fin-Nor’s " Mega drag System " is ideal for battling giant tarpon. For those that prefer bait casting SKL is introducing the new Penn International 975 built with the same quality as the big game Penn Internationals.

The Lodge

Our new pool - cool off under the waterfall and relax after a hard days fishing. Large modern rooms with private bathrooms. Excellent meals served buffet style, all you can eat. Open bar with your choice of local liquors, beer and soft drinks.

No need to pack a lot of clothes as there is free daily laundry service.
There is ample high quality tackle available for our guests to use, the only cost is for lures that are used. The guides are all fluent in English and want you to have a pleasant fishing experience. They are very knowledgeable and are happy to help the new fisherman.

Boats at Silver King Lodge

Silver King Lodge has 10 deep V center console boats to fish the open waters for the SILVER KING. These boats are 23' with an out bracket holding 150 horse power 2001 Yamaha outboards. Each boat is equipped with seats, leaning posts, sturdy grab rails, 25 watt 2 way radios, fish finders and all standard safety equipment. The boats were built on the Ana Capri molds from Florida of hand laid fiberglass and have 7 X the required foam flotation of the U S Coast Guard.

Jungle fishing is done on Carolina Skiffs that are unsinkable. They have flat bottoms with 2 small keels for stability. Due to the nature of fishing skinny water these boats have proven themselves as safe and secure platforms for fighting anything from pan fish to river tarpon.

Silver King Lodge's New Offshore Boat - The Captains of Silver King's offshore boats, have been doing excellently. Guests are catching giant Wahoo, Tuna, Bull Dolphin and Sailfish. These fish are being caught from five to fifteen miles offshore of the beaches of Barra Del Colorado. THIS GREAT FISHING IS ON THE EAST COAST OF COSTA RICA though the results are similar to the West Coast. ALL GUESTS STAYING FIVE OR MORE DAYS GET ONE DAY OF OFFSHORE FISHING AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
