Wyoming Guided Trout Fishing

Set on the banks of the North Platte River, there's rarely a day trout aren't rising on our front lawn! Blessed with an incredible variety of wildlife including ducks, geese, osprey, eagles, hummingbirds along with resident deer, coyotes, river otters and mink, you'll have a wonderful base of operations from which to relax before and after your days activities. The trout fishing here is world-class and our experienced fishing guides know how to put you on the fish using your choice of conventional or fly fishing tackle.

The 3 - bedroom, 2 - bath guest house has a large sunken living room and a fireplace. It is surrounded with picture windows and it has a full outfitted kitchen for your use and convenience. The 40' deck facing the river is surrounded by shade trees. A grill is provided for your evening barbeques. If you want a break from cooking, visit historic downtown Saratoga and it's fine eateries - only a 3 minute walk.

Trout Fishing in Wyoming

Your host, guide and owner Mitch Bangert, is a 19 - year regular to the Platte Valley. Four years ago he found his home in Saratoga and is now sharing it with trout anglers from around the country. In the early 90's he was the head guide for one of Alaska's premier fly-out lodges and now spends his winters in New Zealand chasing the South Island's wary Rainbows and Browns. Mitch's experience, combined with the abundance of water to fish, leaves little to chance. Access to 5 miles of private river, along with a trophy lake, creates a crowd-free and special fishing package for our clients.

World-Class Trout Fishing with Mitch Bangert

"I've had the opportunity to guide and fish the best Rainbow Trout waters in the world and Grays Reef on the North Platte River doesn't take a back seat to any of them! 80+ hook-ups a day between two anglers are common with the fish weighing in at 2 lbs. to more than 10 lbs. and they fight with the heart of wild native trout."
